BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School Board took time Monday evening to recognize another individual with the district’s ‘DORS Award. ‘DORS is an acronym for Dedicated, Outstanding, and Respected Service. This month, a former district employee, now substitute and volunteer, Karen Hesser was nominated. What started as a nomination actually grew into a ground swell by the time the nomination was submitted.
