BOONE, Iowa—The Director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources took time to speak and take part in the Annual Meeting for the Ledges State Park. Park Manager Andy Bartlett and Ranger Klint Peterson presented most of the information, noting that the Ledges State Park once again led all state parks in individual camping with more than 14,000 visits. That was second only to the numbers from 2016. Those in attendance also had a chance to see and ask questions about the camp ground rehabilitation that started the end of 2017 and the Canyon Road reconstruction that plans that are nearing completion. Those in attendance also had a chance to see a brief portion of a video about the history of the Ledges State Park. That video is nearing completion and has been supported by the Friends of the Ledges.
