HazMat Issue Affecting Metro Traffic

AMES, Iowa—The Iowa Department of Transportation is reporting that Interstate 35/80 from Merle Hay Road to the east mixmaster (exit 137A – Ankeny) is closed in both directions this morning. The incident was reported shortly after 9:00 AM.  Emergency crews are on scene to evaluate possible hazardous materials issues related to a traffic incident.
