Mason Hulse will wrestle for the 3A 145lb title Saturday Night (with interviews)

Not since 2006 has a Boone wrestler had a chance to capture the gold at State Wrestling, that will change Saturday Night when Mason Hulse of Boone will wrestle top ranked Cade DeVos from Southeast Polk. Hulse with a thrilling 4-3 TB-1 win over Brock Parker from Waukee. Neither wrestler would put up much offense before we went to extra time, in fact it was 1-1 after 3 periods of action and Hulse would in fact trail at one point 3-2, but a 2pt takedown would end up being the winner and Hulse will have a chance to live a childhood dream as a state champion this Saturday Night. Here are interviews we had with Hulse and Mourlam right after his tremendous win on Friday Night.
