BOONE, Iowa—A Groundbreaking Celebration for Heart of Iowa Habitat of Humanity was held Sunday for the newest building project.  The 2018 partner family, Lindsay and Charlie Fitzgerald were surrounded by family, friends and members of Habitat.  The ground breaking was held at the site of the new home that will be constructed at 515 McPherson Street in Boone.  It marks the 28th home build for the organization that was established in 1995.  Habitat also continues to have success with it’s Helping Hands program which provides specific remodeling and rehabilitation projects for homes in Boone, Greene and Guthrie Counties.  45-families have received assistance through the Helping Hands program.
