BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 94-year old Leslie ‘Les’ Portwood of Harlan, Iowa and formerly of Boone, Iowa.  A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Boone, Iowa.  Following his wishes, Les has been cremated.  Burial of the cremated remains will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Boone, Iowa.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council.

Visitation will be held at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.

In memory of Les, memorials may be directed to the family to be given to a veterans organization.
