BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Veterans Affairs hosted a Veterans Benefit Fair Wednesday in the Community Building of the Boone County Fairgrounds. Veterans Commission member Roger Plath said the Benefits Fair is held every other year and is a way to bring a variety of veteran’s service providers to the county so that veterans, spouses or care givers can visit first hand about opportunities. Veteran’s Affairs Director Steven Cunningham has said the fair is a way to let veterans know what services are available, even if they don’t need assistance at this time.
