BOONE, Iowa—The 4-H Food Stand at the Boone County Fair is the primary fundraiser of the Boone County 4-H program each year. It is managed by the volunteer Boone County 4-H Youth Committee who utilizes the profits of this effort to fund needed 4-H program supplies, financial assistance and awards.
Last year, an ingredient fundraiser was held and proved to be pretty successful. The committee is now seeking the public’s help in continuing to make this effort a success by once again providing an opportunity for individuals or organizations to sponsor food items.
Specific 4-H Food Stand items may be selected and paid for at the Boone County Extension Office at 1327 SE Marshall Street in Boone. Sponsorship opportunities range in price from $10 to $500 and include cheese, candy, hot dogs and more. Ingredients will then be purchased using the sponsorship money, allowing a larger portion of the 4-H Food Stand profits to directly impact the youth of Boone County.
