Flooding from the nearby Des Moines River has forced the closure of the Lower Ledges Road and adjacent parking lots. Flooding is forecasted to impact these areas until July 1st, if not longer. Please call the park office at (515) 432-1852 for more information.

BOONE, IA – Story Street was blocked off for several hours on Tuesday as the Boone Fire Department dealt with a Structure fire in 100 block of south story. They suspect that the cause was probably lightning. It is reported that there was significant damage to two rooms and smoke damage throughout.
