Greene County Fatality

JEFFERSON, Iowa—A Scranton man has died from injuries received when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on a Greene County road between Jefferson and Scranton.  The Iowa State Patrol released preliminary information on the accident that occurred Thursday evening about 7:30 p.m.

According to the preliminary information, 28 year old Emily Perrien of Coon Rapids was traveling north on Greene County road P-14, when her vehicle was struck by a motorcycle, operated by 46 year old Donald Daniel.  The patrol reported that Daniel was traveling west on Greene County road E-53.  The collision occurred at the intersection of the two county roads, between Jefferson and Scranton.  Daniel was transported to the Greene County Medical Center.

Multiple agencies assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene, including the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson Police Department and Fire Department, Iowa DOT Enforcement and Greene County Emergency Medical Services.
