New Security Access Implemented by Boone Schools

Posted on 21 August 2018 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Earlier this year, the Boone School Board approved moving forward with a new system to control access to the district’s buildings.  The Raptor Visitor Management System is now in place for the new school year.  The system has been in place in a number of other schools in the Raccoon River Conference schools.

Generally, visitors will be required to present a valid state-issued ID which will be scanned into the system.  Visitor badges will be issues and will need to be worn and returned once a visit is completed.  At least initially it’s expected to be used just during regular school days.

The school district has sent information to parents through the district’s Digital Backpack on the Boone Community School District website.
