Posted on 19 September 2018 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Salvation Army of Boone County has officially announced a new annual fall event called “Welcome to the Table”. On October 5th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the entire community of Boone is welcome to join The Salvation Army at their location on 503 Benton Street for a fun time of free food, inflatable games, and music.

“ ‘Welcome to the Table’ is an event that is open to all people. We want to welcome all to join us at our table and enjoy an afternoon of food and fun” stated Lt. James Beardsley, the Corps Officer/Pastor for The Salvation Army in Boone.

This new annual event will also help the community to get to know all of the programs and services that The Salvation Army offers. In addition to all of those opportunities, the public will also have the opportunity to sign-up, early, for volunteer bell ringing hours during The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Red Kettle Campaign.

For more information on this event, please call The Salvation Army at (515) 432-5770 or follow The Salvation Army of Boone on their Facebook Page @TSABooneIA
