BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council will receive and update on a proposed transmission line improvement project for ITC Midwest.  The work is proposed on Montana Street on the west side of Boone.  Initially, a number of residents expressed opposition to the project.  Since then, public meetings have been held and a variety of changes have been implemented.  Troy Weary with ITC will provide the council with the update.

The ITC project is also giving Alliant an opportunity to move ahead with a street light project on Montana and 3rd Streets.  The council’s Public Safety and Transportation Committee received an update on that plan and will make a recommendation to the full council during Monday’s meeting.

The Boone City Council meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Boone City Hall.
