BOONE, Iowa—Even though many are planning their Thanksgiving travel and activities, a lot of the attention is on Christmas.  Besides Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and all the shopping, don’t forget to plan for some of the other upcoming activities, like the Holiday Lighted Parade in Boone on November 29th.  There’s still time to get an entry submitted.  The deadline will be the end of the day November 26th. There’s no cost to enter, and when the parade is finished it’ll be time to light up the community Christmas tree at the 8th and Story Street green space.  Alyssa Knutsen, Manager of Programming and Events for the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, says Alliant Energy is sponsoring the event.  Here’s a link to your entry form.
