BOONE, Iowa—Warm weather has taken it’s toll on gravel roads and alley’s and accordingly the Boone Parks Department has closed the entrances to McHose Park indefinitely. The action is taken as a means to preserve the gravel roads within the park. Those wishing to use Canine Corral or walk in the park are invited to do so, but users will need to park outside the park and walk-in.
A private contractor will be doing sewer line work on the north side of Boone beginning Tuesday, January 8th until January 10th. The work will require re-routing traffic on 22nd Street or County Road E-26. Those traveling in that area are asked to use the detour provided while the work is underway. The work is on a private sewer line.
