BOONE, Iowa—On Saturday, February 16, 2019, the Boone County Democrats held their annual “Have A Heart” fundraising soup supper. The recipients this year were the Boone DMACC food pantry, “The Woods”, represented by Erin Neumann and Lisa Kahookele, and the BHS Toreador food pantry, represented by Kim Kitterman and Lori Shirley. Receiving checks for $200 each from BCD Chair Tim Winter, were Lisa Kahookele and Kim Kitterman. The Boone County Democrats also donated several containers of nonperishable food items to Boone’s IMPACT food pantry three weeks ago in honor of Martin Luther King day.
