No services today at the following Boone churches:  First United Methodist, Augustana Lutheran, First Assembly of God, Trinity Lutheran, Central Christian, First Evangelical Free Church, Open Bible, and Grace Community.  Also, no services at Zion Lutheran Church or Saint John’s Catholic Church, both in Ogden.  And the DECA state competition at Southeast Polk High School has been cancelled.  CDS Global will be closed today, but open regular hours on Monday.  The Boone County Hospital walk-in clinic is closing at 1:30 this afternoon, but will be open regular hours on Monday.

The City of Boone snow ordinance goes into effect at 11:00 Sunday night for the business district only.  Vehicles parked on downtown streets after that time will be ticketed and towed.  Dave Moreland of Boone County Emergency Management in consultation with the Boone County Engineer have decided that the gravel roads in the county will not be cleared before Monday morning.  County plows are having difficulty keeping the hard-surfaced roads from drifting shut so they will not be reaching the gravel until sometime Monday morning.
