BOONE, Iowa—The forecast for the next several days has led the city to institute its ban on garbage trucks in the alleys. The warmer temperatures and the the possibility of rain into next week is expected to result in some pretty messy conditions. Boone Public Works will usually post the alley’s in an effort to reduce damage. The ban on garbage trucks in alley’s will continue until further notice.
It’s also suggested that residents avoid using gravel roads in the city’s parks. If traffic begins to damage the roads, the Parks Department could close McHose Park to traffic.
