DES MOINES, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 63-year old Merlin ‘Mert’ Peterson of Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, Sixth and Marshall Streets, Boone, Iowa. Following his wishes, Mert’s body has been cremated. Burial of his cremains will be held in the Rose Hill Cemetery west of Boone, Iowa. Military Honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
In memory of Mert, memorials may be directed to the family or the House of Mercy in Des Moines, Iowa.
