Boone and Greene Counties Receiving More Rain

Posted on 03 July 2019 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The National Weather Service released a special weather statement for Boone and Greene Counties because of the current thunderstorm activity:

An area of thunderstorms is moving very slowly over Boone and
Greene Counties early this Wednesday morning. Radar rainfall
estimates in the area indicate that 1 to over 2 inches of rain
has already fallen from just north of Boone northwest to Boxholm
to near Churdan in Greene County. Localized ponding of water and
possible street flooding may occur with the locally heavy rain
moving through these areas over the next hour or two.

Please remain cautious if driving early this morning and avoid any
flooded areas. Please report any flooding to local law enforcement.
