BOONE, Iowa—The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold another public information meeting this afternoon and evening to discuss proposed improvement to Iowa 17 east of Boone and north of U.S. 30. Residents in the immediate area refer to this as a proposed overpass project on Iowa 17 east of Boone. This is the third developmental meeting being held on this project. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the United Community School, 1284 U Avenue, east of Boone.
DOT officials say the meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
