BOONE, Iowa—It’s a tradition and once again this year, the Boone County Convention & Visitors Bureau will have a large booth at the Iowa State Fair. This is the time of the year when the call goes out for anyone that’s interested to join by becoming a volunteer and fill a shift in the BCCVB booth. To make sign up easier, Kris Blocker says they are using on online registration option. So, if you’re willing and able please click on the link below and sign up for any days and or times that work best for you. A ticket for admission into the fair will be provided. The Boone County Convention and Visitors Bureau booth is located inside the air conditioned Varied Industry building. Training sessions for helping will be held Thursday, August 1 at 5:00 p.m.– Snus Hill and Monday, August 5 at 5:00 p.m.– Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad.
