BCT announces new season of shows

Posted on 30 July 2019 by KWBG

Boone Community Theatre recently announced its 2019-2020 season line-up which includes pirates, an imaginary rabbit, romantic comedy, and Miss Marple’s keen sleuthing.

The season kicks-off in September with The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan and directed by the father-son team of Christopher and Gershom Levi.  December will feature Harvey by Mary Chase, directed by Susan Herrick.  February’s event will be the 1950’s romantic comedy Sabrina Fair by Samuel Taylor and directed by Pamela Webster. The regular season will conclude with A Murder is Announced, an Agatha Christie murder mystery to be directed by Garry Gardner and Brandon Windus.

Season tickets are on sale now through Sept. 8 at the discounted price of $70 and cover admission for four shows including a dinner theatre and a musical.

Susan Herrick, BCT president, said, “We have additional costs now that BCT has to rent an auditorium space and lighting for every performance.  However, we are right in line with other community theatres in the area.  It’s still a great value for live theatre close to home, plus your ticket helps to support the arts in Boone.”

Boone Community Theatre was founded as a non-profit organization in 1975 to be a source of entertainment and involvement for people in the Boone area.
