BOONE, Iowa—The annual Boone County Dragoon River Romp will be held Saturday, September 21st and there is still room for volunteers. Those that are interested in being a part of the award winning river clean up project should submit their information today. All the information to volunteer is available here. Volunteers are limited to 100 on the water in canoes and 45 on land. This year, clean up is planned for the Des Moines River from the U.S. Highway 30 boat ramp to the E-57 boat ramp, which will include the river adjacent to the Ledges State Park.
