DES MOINES, Iowa—State Rep. Phil Thompson (R-Jefferson) was recently named Vice Chairman of the State Government Committee by House Speaker-Select Pat Grassley (R-New Hartford).
“Rep. Thompson is a young, rising leader in our caucus who is ready to tackle our state’s most pressing issues like workforce and broadband,” said Grassley. “He will work to ensure that Iowa’s state government works effectively for the people he serves.”
The 2020 legislative session convenes in Des Moines on Monday, January 13.
