BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Engineers Office has reported that the Union Pacific Railroad will be closing the railroad crossing at XL Avenue in Boone County for repairs. The closing will begin on Thursday and could be in place for a few days. Residents that travel in that area are urged to make other plans while the work is being completed.
The railroad crossing on XL Avenue is located between X Avenue and Y Avenue and between 210th Street on the north and 220th Street on the south.
