BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School Board conducted interviews with three finalist for the district’s superintendent position Monday.  Board President, Dr. Brian Mehlhaus and Board Member Pat Thieben sent an update to district staff Tuesday to let them know that a contract has been verbally accepted.  The identity has not been released, but is expected yet this week after a signed contract has been verified.

The interview process did involve a number of district administrators, teachers, students and community members.  The School Board met Monday afternoon and considered the input from participants in the interview process and eventually yesterday evening extended the contract offer.
