BOONE, Iowa—U.S. Senate candidate Theresa Greenfield made a stop in Boone Friday and managed to get a quick tour of the Boone County Hospital. The hospital visit was her opportunity to talk about expanding access to affordable health care. Greenfield said “While Washington seems to only work for corporate special interest, I’m running to put Iowa first and actually fix the problem hurting all of us. The best way to get that done is by doing exactly what we did in the small towns many of us grew up in — showing up, listening and talking neighbor-to-neighbor.”
Greenfield was critical of Senator Joni Ernst for leaving constituents behind and focusing on wealthy donors and partisan politics. Greenfield has already attended more than 90 public events across the state.
