WOODWARD, Iowa—A funeral service has been set for 73-year old John W. Swanson of Woodward, Iowa and formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Unity Point Hospice-Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Boxholm, Iowa.  The Reverend Rod Meyer will be officiating.  Military Rites are to be conducted by the Laurens C. Shull American Legion Post #211 of Woodward, Iowa.  Burial will be held in the Lawn Cemetery, Boxholm, Iowa at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden, Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm.
