JOHNSTON, IA – At Governor Kim Reynolds Sunday press conference, she continued to urge Iowans to stay home when sick, practice social distancing and was hands. Reynolds continues to advocate for Iowans to do so voluntarily so as to flatten the curve of COVID19 spread, and also to continue to allow law enforcement to focus on public safety. As of Sunday’s 2:30 press conference, the total count of infected Iowans now stands at 90 with “the majority,” according to Reynolds, classified as mild. When pressed about requiring a shelter in place policy, the Governor reiterated that as longs as people do their part, Iowa can keep going.
The Governor did issue the order that barbershops, hair and nail salons, massage therapy spas and clinics, tattoo shops, tanning salons, swimming pools, all temporarily closing by 10 PM Sunday night.
Day cares may continue to remain open, but should institute the practice of having drop offs at the doors, and take children’s temperatures upon arrival.
