Schools Begin Free Lunches Monday

BOONE, Iowa—School will begin making free lunches available to students that are present at the time of pickup.  The free program is the same program made available during the summer.  Schools are scheduled to offer the program while schools are closed, now until mid-April.

In Boone:

  • Boone High School west entrance in the “U” shaped drive on Monona Street and 7th Street from 11:00-11:30 a.m.
  • Franklin Elementary by the parent drop- off area at the Activities/Cafeteria entrance from 12:00-12:30 p.m.
  • Open Bible Church parking lot at 1224 Hancock Drive from 12:00-12:30 p.m.

In Madrid:

Lunches are available Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Please use the west door of the elementary building.  You may park in the school bus drop zone if needed.

In Ogden:

  • Please pull through the main drive to the Activities Entrance at the NE corner of the MS/HS building and remain in your vehicle.
  • A staff member will come to your vehicle to get a head count of meals needed.  one meal will be provided for each child in the vehicle under 18.  We will not be providing meals for students not present.
  • The staff will then bring the meals to your vehicle.
  • We ask that you do not congregate at the school.  once you have received your meals, please exit the campus.

Service in Ogden will be available from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
