DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service in Des Moines is reporting the development of fog early Wednesday in central Iowa.
Areas of fog, dense in spots, has already developed across central Iowa either side of the Highway 30 corridor from Carroll to Ames, and is expected to advance farther south toward the Interstate 80 corridor later this morning, including at least parts of the Des Moines metro area. Visibilities in these locations may dip to a half mile or less at times. Motorists are advised to slow, use low beam headlights, and allow for extra distance between vehicles.
