On Sunday, the Iowa Department of Public Health identified 384 new cases of coronavirus in our state, down significantly from the 648 COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday. Iowa has now had 5,476 cases of coronavirus which have caused 118 deaths. Six of those occurred in the last twenty-four hours: one each in Black Hawk, Linn, Clinton, and Des Moines counties, and two deaths in Johnson County, including one individual between the ages of 18 and 40 years old. In central Iowa, from Saturday to Sunday, 72 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in Polk County for a total of 732, 39 in Dallas for 169, 1 in Story for a total of 23, and 1 in Boone County for 7 overall. The Hamilton County total remains at 7, there have been 4 cases in Webster, and just 1 in Greene County. Four Boone County patients have recovered from coronavirus, but only 233 residents have been tested.
