DES MOINES, Iowa—Even as the statewide numbers continue to increase, Boone County remained unchanged Thursday for additional positive COVID-19 cases. 386 additional tests were reported by the Iowa Department of Public Health bring the state total to 13,675. There were a reported 6, 231 patients that had recovered. 12 additional deaths were reported, bring the total in Iowa to 318.
Boone County’s cases for COVID-19 were unchanged at 41 Thursday morning. A total of 714 tests were reported at that time. 17 of the Boone County cases had recovered, unchanged from Wednesday.
Surrounding counties that saw increases included Polk County which went up 83, Dallas County increased by 14, Story, Greene and Webster Counties all increased by one and Hamilton County was also unchanged with 11 positive cases.
There were no hospitalizations reported in Boone County. 357 were hospitalized in state and 28 in hospitals in neighboring states.
