Weather Service Continues to Offer Educational Weather Webinars

DES MOINES, Iowa—If you’re into the weather and learning more about weather, have we got a deal for you!  The National Weather Service in Des Moines will be offering another educational outreach webinar on Thursday evening, May 21st, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  This time they will be talking all about climate….

* How wet has 2020 been thus far?
* What lies ahead for the Summer?
* What have been the agricultural impacts?
* Where can I find climate information?
* Its been dry, are we in a drought?

Iowa’s climate experts will be LIVE (yes w/ their webcams on) to answer these questions, as well as your’s on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Panelists will include…
* Dr. Justin Glisan, Iowa State Climatologist – Iowa Dept. of Ag & Land Stewardship
* Dr. Dennis Todey, Director of Midwest Climate Hub – USDA/Ames
* Ray Wolf, Science & Operations Officer – NWS Quad Cities

Moderators will be Allan Curtis/Chad Hahn from NWS Des Moines.
