BOONE, Iowa—The Iowa Department of Public Health has confirmed the first COVID-19 related death in Boone County. The death actually occurred over the weekend, but was not officially reported until late Monday. As of Tuesday morning, over 2,000 people had been tested in Boone County. There were 101 positive cases of COVID-19. 47 people that had been identified with the coronavirus, had recovered. As of early Tuesday, none of the Boone County cases was hospitalized.
