Salvation Army of Boone Conducts Box Fan Giveaway

Posted on 10 July 2020 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Salvation Army of Boone has announced their 2020 Box Fan Giveaway. Lt. James Beardsley, Corp Officer, says the project was made possible thanks to a grant provided by the Alliant Energy Foundation.  He says the Salvation Army was able to purchase box fans to give out to the community.

Beardsley says “We are very appreciative of the support that the Alliant Energy Foundation has given to help get
this program going this year”.  He said “We want to do our best to help out, those in need, during these hot days.”

The Salvation Army of Boone will begin its Box Fan Giveaway on Monday, July 13th and will last as long as supplies last. In order to help as many families as possible, there is a limit of one fan per household. Those interested in receiving a fan should come to The Salvation Army on 509 Benton Street, with a valid photo ID.

The Salvation Army of Boone also was also assisted in their effort by Boone Walmart who helped fill the fan order.
