Sunday evening, there was a flag-raising ceremony at the Boone Green Space. Blue Line and Red Line flags representing police and fire in Boone and are now on display at 8th and Story. The Boone Optimist Club, Todd and Amy Rasmussen and Rita Davenport hosted the ceremony.
Members of the Optimist Club of Boone join members of the Boone Police Department, the Boone Fire Department, State Representative Phil Thompson, Boone Mayor John Slight and Boone Council Member and Mayor Pro-Tem Steven Ray following the flag raising at the Greenspace Sunday evening.
