BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Public Health has announced that testing for COVID-19 will once again be restricted to symptomatic patients. The move this week is due to a lack of testing supplies. Over the past several weeks, testing averaged about four to five dozen people a day. Symptomatic patients will still go to the test site at 104 South Story Street. Those being tested will drive into the parking lot and remain in their vehicle. Call 433-8585 to register and personnel from the Boone County Hospital’s Respiratory Clinic will provide directions for testing.
Asymptomatic people are encouraged to go to the “Test Iowa” website, take the survey, then schedule an appointment at one of the “Test Iowa” sites. All available test sites and a link to “Test Iowa” are listed on the state’s COVID-19 website, https://coronavirus.iowa.gov/
