DES MOINES, Iowa—The Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Enhance Iowa Board Friday awarded over $3.7 million in Community Attraction and Tourism or CAT grants to a dozen projects.  One of the recipients, the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad secured at $150,00 award for their All Aboard! Capital Campaign.  The project will include the expansion of the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad depot, the refurbishment of a historic freight depot to be utilized as a climate-controlled facilities for the storage of museum artifacts, upgrades to 11 miles of track and the restoration of the iconic Chinese steam locomotive and two diesel locomotives.  The total project is estimated to cost over $882,000.
