Boone County Emergency Management announces that for at least today (Thursday), T Avenue in Boone County will be closed from E57 to Hwy 210 so that Midland Power can perform restoration work. Please find alternative travel routes. Bear in mind that Hwy 17 is still closed from Luther to Madrid.

MADRID, Iowa—Monday’s storm caused substantial damage in central Iowa including the City of Madrid. Boone County Hospital has announced that the Madrid Family Practice Clinic is currently closed until electricity and gas can be restored. Clinic staff has been working to call patients with appointments so they can be rescheduled.

URBANDALE, Iowa—HIRTA has announced that they will not provide service in Boone or Jasper Counties today (Tuesday) due yesterday’s storm and the damage that was caused. The cancellation of service is for Tuesday only and it’s hope that service will resume on Wednesday.
