BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has reported that last Sunday, a Deputy responded to the Ledges State Park for a complaint of two car burglaries. Windows were broken to gain entry and credit cards were stolen.
Also on Sunday, the same stolen credit cards were attempted to be used at the Boone Wal-Mart and Boone Walgreens in an attempt to convert currency into a gift card. A female can be seen in the Walmart video inside the store while the male drove around the parking lot in what appears to be a white 2020 Ford Escape. Both the male and female can be seen in the Walgreens video attempting to use the stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards.
