Ag Marketing Club Series Resumes February 8th in Ogden

Posted on 01 February 2021 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—– With a March 15th deadline approaching for your Farm Bill program, we want to help you decide whether Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) or Price Loss Coverage (PLC) is the best for your farm. Using the decision tools that Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has developed, it will help you make a more informed decision for this vital economic safety net for most American farms. To address these crop marketing strategy issues, an ag marketing club meeting will be held Monday, February 8th, 6:30 p.m., Ogden Community Center, 114 SW 8th St. and hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offices.

The featured speaker will be Patrick Hatting, ISU Extension Farm Management Specialist, presenting on:

  • ARC/PLC annual decision and how to use the decision tool in the Ag Decision Maker website
  • Current USDA corn and soybean projections for 2021
  • Market update and cost of grain ownership
  • Crop marketing strategies, tools, and market planning

For COVID-19 planning, pre-registration is required for the Ogden meeting, contact Alexis Stevens at 515-432-3882 or ahooper@iastate.edu.
