ANKENY, Iowa—DMACC’s online Businss Administration AAS Degree moved up in the national rankings this year to the #3 online business program among two-year colleges and the best for entrepreneurs http://intelligent.com//best-associate-in-business-administration-degree-programs/, according to Intelligent.com, an online magazine and resource dedicated to students. Last year DMACC’s business degree was ranked 6th.
Intelligent.com, based in Seattle, Washington, assessed 2,277 accredited colleges throughout the United States for every program and curriculum that was evaluated. For the “Best Associate’s Degree in Business Administration Program,” 188 schools were assessed. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment.
“We’ve known that DMACC’s business program offers high-quality instruction, but this ranking demonstrates its true uniqueness and reveals that we have one of the best online business degree offerings and the best for entrepreneurs,” said Jeanie McCarville Kerber, DMACC Acting Dean of the School of Business and Information Technology. “Our business faculty are dedicated to providing not only the theories behind business, but the practical applications of accounting, management and marketing. Our students will be successful either working or owning a business.”
Each year more than 1,000 students are enrolled in DMACC’s Business Administration program, which is located across all six DMACC campuses. This year, due to COVID Pandemic, business classes are offered through virtual instruction by one of our excellent professors or online for this semester.
The education service said that business careers will remain in high demand and over the next seven years employers will hire nearly three quarter of a million jobs in business.
McCarville said DMACC has also taken a number of steps to improve the online experience, including more access to live instruction and greater engagement in online classes.
The 2021 Intelligent.com rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations. Intelligent.com analyzed thousands of schools with comparable programs on a scale of 0 to 100.
The methodology uses an algorithm that collects and analyzes multiple rankings into one score to easily compare each university’s degree program.
Luna Community College in Las Vegas, New Mexico and Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana were ranked number one and two respectively.
