Boone County Public Health Expecting Another Large Volume of Calls for Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

Posted on 09 February 2021 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—COVID-19 vaccinations are now available to Boone County residents. To schedule your COVID vaccine, please call the COVID-19 Vaccine Line at (515) 433-8299 (VAXX). Boone County Public Health will receive a designated allotment of vaccine from the State each week. On Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. each week, the COVID vaccine line will open for people to schedule an appointment for an upcoming vaccination clinic. If all appointments are full, please continue to check back weekly on Wednesdays starting at 8:00 a.m. as new appointments will be opened as we receive more vaccine doses from the State.

We anticipate the demand for these vaccinations to be much higher than the availability of the vaccine. Therefore, you may need to try to call several times to be scheduled into an upcoming clinic as it will be on a first come, first serve basis. We apologize for this inconvenience and ask that you be patient and keep trying.
