COVID-19 vaccinations > coronavirus cases

On Sunday, the Iowa Department of Public Health identified 317 new cases of COVID-19, a decrease of 131 from the number reported on Saturday.  Iowa has had more than 373,000 coronavirus cases, 2,663 of those in Boone County.  Two COVID-19 deaths were reported on Sunday, so the pandemic total has hit 5,674, with 30 of those occurring in Boone County.  Over 1.2 million Iowans have now been vaccinated against coronavirus; 9,765 doses have been given in Boone County alone, with 3,566 residents receiving two doses, 2,580 beginning the two-dose series, and 97 getting the one-dose shot.  Greater than 327,000 Iowans have recovered from COVID-19, including 2,365 in Boone County, where the seven-day positivity rate has dropped another percentage point in the past week to 2%.
