BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements are set for 51 year old Troy Gene Gibson of Boone, Iowa. He passed away at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa on March 29, 2021. He was born on October 13, 1969 in Boone, Iowa the son of Kay N. Gibson. He was the last graduate from the Boone Christian School in 1989. Troy loved life and his family; he was a friend to everyone that he met.
Troy is preceded in death by his mother, Kay N. Gibson; grandmother, Mary Polly Grierson, and grandfather, Lawrence Grierson.
Survivors include his siblings: Korina (Harry) Devilbiss of Des Moines, Iowa; Sharin Mundell of Warm Springs, Arkansas, and Halbert (Teresa) Gibson of Casey, Iowa; nephews: Jerico Devilbiss; William Richardson II; Halbert Gibson, Jr., and Cody Todd; Nieces: Tanya Devilbiss; Brittany Richardson; Polly Mundell; Ashley Gibson, and Rachel Gibson, as well as 11 great-nieces and nephew, other relatives, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the J.B. McHose Shelter at McHose Park in Boone.
