BCH Nurse Nominated as One of 100 Great Iowa Nurses

Posted on 04 May 2021 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Congratulations to Brianne Wessels, ARNP, for being named “One of Iowa’s Great 100 Nurses”.  Brianne is a PRN provider at the Boone County Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic.  She also works in the Boone County Hospital Emergency Room PRN.  In addition, she is part-time as a Trauma Program Manager at Mary Greeley Medical Center.

The 100 Great Iowa Nurses program identifies 100 outstanding nurses every year whose courage, competence, and commitment to patients and the nursing profession stand out above all others.  These nurses go above and beyond to contribute significantly to the profession of nursing.  The 100 Great Iowa Nurses award recognizes nurses that have made meaningful, lasting contributions to their patients, colleagues, and the nursing profession, and are viewed as mentors to other nursing professionals.  This year’s honorees exemplify all of the principles on which the 100 Great Iowa Nurses Celebration was founded.

The University of Iowa College of Nursing is responsible for the program and celebration but relies on the support and expertise of several organizations and associations around the state to make 100 Great Iowa Nurses happen each year.
