BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing Boone teen. The announcement was made on the Police Departments Facebook page Friday.

Officers of the Boone Police Department are searching for Mackenzie Lyons, age 16, who was reported as a runaway to the Boone Police Department on Friday, May 7, 2021. Mackenzie is believed to be en route to either the Des Moines or Waterloo area. She was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt with black leggings.
