BOONE, Iowa—The last regular meeting of the current school year means that the Boone School Board did receive a number of resignations from staff, including the resignation of Boone High School Principal Kris Byam. Byam tendered his resignation effective the end of the fiscal year on June 30th.  The Board also approved retaining the services of Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist Superintendent Julie Trepa in finding a suitable replacement.  The Board had used Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist with the Superintendent search in the 2019-20 school year.  Trepa told the board that assistance to attract suitable candidates to fill the position will be helpful due to the small window of opportunity.
